Torico shared this great digital image of a Stitched Rose on her blog. She is sponsoring a challenge that features this image. You have a chance to win one of her adorable digital images too!
I used water colors to paint the petals and the leaves. After I printed the image out 4 times I cut out the layers of petals to give it a little more dimension. For the leaves and the card I used my Martha Stewart Scoring Board and bone folder to create the embossed features. The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up set called Pursuit of Happiness. And lastly I used my Smooch Spritz in color vanilla to coat the petals and leaves in a sparkly blanket. However, I can’t get the darn thing to spray well so I squirt some on my plastic table and then paint it on with a brush 🙂
I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Card Making Mamas: Challenge #45- May Flowers
Birdie Brown’s Stitched Rose Freebie Challenge
and Lawnscaping’s Embossing Heat or Dry #34 challenge
Man, I’m getting all competitive this week! It’s good to be in the craft room again after taking a few weeks off due to my Mom’s broken hip. I just didn’t feel very creative for a while there but, my mother is home and doing well in her recovery, so I feel like making cards again.
Happy Stamping,
Mo
