Lawnscaping has a current challenge called: One Layer and it is being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.
One layer is not as easy as it sounds. When you have a craft room full of colored cardstock, patterned paper and dimensional adhesives, it is a challenge indeed, not to use them! I held myself in check and managed to whip up a One Layer Wonder. (Wonder may be a bit much but the title has a nice ring to it)
This is the card I made for my sister’s boy Jonathan.
I used my Stampendous Perfectly Clear, Changito Pirate Set for this card. In order to color the card I used a mixture of Copic Markers, colored pencils and water color paints.
First I heat embossed the treasure on the border of the card with clear embossing powder. Then I masked off the interior of the card before sponging on the brown ink to create a frame for the card.
You can play along too at Lawnscaping.
