Bleach Pen Beauty

Posted on

After stumbling across a bleach pen T-shirt tutorial (and then Googling dozens and dozens of images), I decided to purchase a bleach pen for my daughter Sam to play around with. She chose a  Henna-esk design and got to work on a favorite tank top she has.

Sam was really nervous that the design might not come out as well as she imagined. She certainly didn’t want to ruin a shirt she loves to wear! The results however, were fabulous. The final result was crisp, clean and visually appealing.

The basic instructions are easy.

1.Place a barrier between the layer of the shirt you are working on and the one behind. We used some poster board.

2. Draw on your design with the narrow end of the bleach pen.

3. After 20 minutes rinse the shirt really well in a tub or deep sink to rinse off all of the bleach gel.

4. Launder as usual.

5. Wear it on the first day of the 8th Grade to impress all of your friends.

Happy Bleaching,

Mo
