This is the card I created for my son James to give to his girlfriend for Valentine’s Day. I wanted to add a little whimsy to the card so I added a spinning element. It was fairly quick and simple to do using the Spinner Die collection from Papertrey Ink. If you follow the link to the left you can find a great tutorial on how to create your own spinner card.
The trick is to use a small round foam adhesive instead of the two smallest circles created by the die. When I used the paper circles the heart did not spin smoothly.
I used a medium sized sentiment stamp called Cherish by KaiserCraft for the top paper and for the one line sentiment inside the row where the heart spins. In order to ink just one line I used my stamp marker instead of an ink pad. After I had created the background on the top paper I stamped the large You & Me dabbing my stamp first on a Versamark pad and then a red ink pad. And finally I embossed it with clear embossing powder.
I hope you have been inspired to try your hand at creating a Spinner Card yourself.
Happy Stamping,
Mo
