How to Make Love (cards)

It has been weeks since my last post. Between the Christmas Holiday and getting a horrendous cold the day after Christmas, I had not been in the mood to post anything. However, I had been playing around in my craft room.

I put together a picture by picture view of a Valentine’s Day card that I made. Hopefully you will find it interesting to see how I put my cards together to make the final project. One of these days I might even learn how to make a video tutorial and then I can show you step by step.

Valentine's Day Cardstock

I used a hugs and kisses stamp over and over again to create the background for my card.

Next I added some hearts in a darker color.

.The Paper Studio Embossing Folder

At this point the background for my card was still pretty bland. So I used an embossing folder to jazz it up.

See what a difference that small change made? I think this looks much more interesting and romantic.

Finally I added my image to my base to finish the card. In retrospect it might have been nice if I showed you the steps for  creating the focal point of the card. So sorry about that but, I really will be looking into upgraded my account to allow me to include videos and then I can create more detailed tutorials.

Happy Stamping,
