Eat Pie, Not I

I’ve put together a quick but cute card for Thanksgiving. This card doesn’t require a lot of layers or fancy techniques but, it is still really fun and finished looking.

I used a free digital image of a cartoon turkey to create this card. And the background paper for the card was created with my Waltzing Mouse Midnight Feast stamp set. In order to color the Turkey I used a combination of Prisma colored pencils and Copic markers.

I will be entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Thanksgiving/Thank You challenge.

Thanksgiving Card Cutie

I used an adorable image from Pink Cat Studios to create a Thanksgiving Day card for my niece.

I used my Lifestyles Crafts circular dies to cut out the patterned paper and the stamped paper. The leaves were cut out by hand after I stamped them using my Inkadinkado Autumn Leaves stamp. The image is colored in Copic Ciao markers and I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to create the sky.  And lastly I scored the brown card stock in a diagonal pattern to compliment the patterned paper.

I am entering this card into A Blog Named Hero’s The Ol’ 1-2 Punch challenge , the Do You Stack Up  Leaves & Trees challenge  and the Paper Crafting Journey’s Anything Goes Challenge.

Thanksgiving Clean and Simple Card

I desperately need to get a real camera so that I can stop taking such lousy pictures with my camera phone. (No offense IPhone 4 but you are no Nikon!)

I created this card for Thanksgiving for one of my older nephews. The stamp sets I used are Inkadinkado Autumn leaves and Inkadinkado Expression. And thanks to an inspiration post from A Blog Named Hero I decided to use some simple scoring and keep my card Clean and Simple.

My sentiment is mounted with dimensional stickers but, I added the brads for some visual interest. I love the shiny copper color of these brads and I think they give my card a little touch of class.

This card will be entered into the DYSU #96- Brads challenge. I think I may try to create a Christmas that features brads more prominently and enter that card in as well.

Happy Stamping,
