Yeti, Set, Go Birthday!

Lawn Fawn is featuring a challenge called Dust Em Off. The challenge is to use a stamp set that you haven’t used in a long time. However, I have really just purchased my Lawn Fawn stamps in the last few months so I have been using them quite a lot. I am going to enter my card in anyway because, I love Lawn Fawn and I love the chance to win prizes! 🙂

Yeti with Balloons

The cute little monster flying away with the balloons is a Yeti. He is from the Lawn Fawn set Yeti, Set, Go  I paired him with some balloons from Mama Elephant’s Up and Away set. The clouds are made by just lining the outer edge of the balloon stamp with a blue stamp pen. And the birthday sentiment is from a Fiskars set called Birthday Cheer.

The challenge I am entering this card into is Dust Em Off by Lawnscaping Challenge

You have until February 26th to play along for a chance to win a Lawn Fawn set of your choice!

Monkey Love because, I Whaley Love You

I have been gearing up for Valentine’s over the last week or so. In addition to my 11 youngest nieces and nephews (some of them are Grands) I am also sending a card to each one of my sister Barbara’s girls. Although they are 20 and 22 each one has lost a serious, long term boyfriend this year. And it is no fun to be alone at that age on Valentine’s day. And in addition to those cards I made 125 postcard type Valentine’s for the folks at the Council on Aging here in our hometown. You will get to see all of the cards I made over the next few days.

First up is a card I made for my Grand Nephew Craig.

This card features the monkey from Mama Elephant’s Up and Away set. The arrows are from a Heidi Swapp set that I picked up from Michael’s a week ago. And the candy hearts are from a very inexpensive foam stamp set that I have had for years and years.

Next up is the card I made for Craig’s baby brother, Dominic.

Dominic is only a little older than 1, so I kept his card a little more simple, one big image to center his attention on. The Whale is a diecut from K & Company and he is mounted on some patterned paper and then double matted to make it pop.

Thanks for stopping in to take a look at my creations. Check back tomorrow to see a few more Valentine’s cards that I made this past week.

Happy Stamping,

Mo
