Hopefully I can get this card entered into Torico’s Sitched Rose challenge in time. I think Japan is a day ahead of us but, that would make it the 30th and I would still be in time. A few months back I bought some digital images from Torico’s Etsy site and I got all impatient when they weren’t emailed right away. (I am American afterall and I need instant gratification at all times.) So I shot an email over to Torico expressing my worries about my digi order. She emailed me a few hours later and kindly explained to me that I bought my digis at 2am Japanese time and she was sorry about the delay. I felt like a big dope and told her that I would take the time lapse into consideration in the future.
In honor of Memorial Day I went all out with patriotic colors. The stars on the card were embossed with my Cuttlebug folder and my big shot machine. (That I bought with my craft show earnings! Woot, Woot!) I cut the petals out and painted them with watercolors but, I really concentrated the color to make the red and blue stand out against the white. When the paint dried I covered the petals with Vanilla Smooch Spritz. To create the stripes on the leaves I used my copic markers and then I covered the leaves in Smooch Spritz too. The ribbon is a bargain grab that I found at Walmart a few months back and the bronze frame is from Stampin’ Up.
Thanks again to Torico for sharing her gift with all of her reader’s this month.
Happy Stamping,
Mo
