I have been gearing up for Valentine’s over the last week or so. In addition to my 11 youngest nieces and nephews (some of them are Grands) I am also sending a card to each one of my sister Barbara’s girls. Although they are 20 and 22 each one has lost a serious, long term boyfriend this year. And it is no fun to be alone at that age on Valentine’s day. And in addition to those cards I made 125 postcard type Valentine’s for the folks at the Council on Aging here in our hometown. You will get to see all of the cards I made over the next few days.
First up is a card I made for my Grand Nephew Craig.
This card features the monkey from Mama Elephant’s Up and Away set. The arrows are from a Heidi Swapp set that I picked up from Michael’s a week ago. And the candy hearts are from a very inexpensive foam stamp set that I have had for years and years.
Next up is the card I made for Craig’s baby brother, Dominic.
Dominic is only a little older than 1, so I kept his card a little more simple, one big image to center his attention on. The Whale is a diecut from K & Company and he is mounted on some patterned paper and then double matted to make it pop.
Thanks for stopping in to take a look at my creations. Check back tomorrow to see a few more Valentine’s cards that I made this past week.
Happy Stamping,
Mo
I received my birthday card. It was so good, thank you. Please email or text me your email address so we can catch up. I lost your email when my computer crashed.
