Ballerina Birthdays are Tutu Sweet!

My adorable niece Addie is turning 7 tomorrow. Addie is a lover of all things pink, glitzy and girly. So I thought she might enjoy a card that features a ballerina in a pink tutu with a sparkly headband and pearls on her tutu.

Ballerina BirthdayI wanted to add some dimension to the card so I colored and then cut out a second tutu and then I glued it on top of the original image. In order to keep the tutu from standing up too high I used several cuts of cardstock underneath rather than foam dimensional stickers.

Ballerina side viewI didn’t want the skirt to be too thick so that I could add the tiny pearls as well and still be able to mail the card without having to have it hand cancelled. (I had it hand cancelled anyway because, I am a worry wort and I didn’t want the envelope to get torn in shipping)

Tutu Sentiment

This is the handwritten sentiment that I added to the inside ofthe card.
