The sentiment I used for this card is from a Fiskars clear stamp set called Make a Wish. The quote is credited to Abraham Lincoln but, I don’t know that he really said it. It reminds me of this photo joke that has made the rounds on the internet…
But either way I do like the jist of the sentiment. Who wants to live to be 100 if you are just sitting around for the last 20 or 30 years of that life? I think we should enjoy the time we have, while we have it. That is why I made a Bucket List. So far all I have checked off on the list is “Make a Bucket List” because, I am too busy living to sit around making a list to check off before I die. đŸ™‚
Anyhow, I created another birthday card for the Simon Says Stamp: Happy Birthday Challenge . I have a very large extended family so I make lots of birthday cards each year and this challenge is helping me to get ahead with that task.
I created another wood look background paper using my scoreboard and Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Inks. Just score the paper at random widths for random lengths and then sponge on your brown ink. Â A quick stamp of the sentiments and flowers on a die cut shape and my card was just about finished. I mounted the sentiment on some dimensional stickers and then added the blue pearls to finish it off. Â The whole card only took about 15 minutes from start to finish.
Happy Stamping,
Mo
