This past Sunday I purchased Tim Holtz Distress Inks on sale ($2.99 each) at Michaels. I have seen these inks used in many cards but, I hadn’t had a chance to try them out myself, before this. They were so much fun to play around with! My favorite part is spritzing the colors with water and watching the way the change to a softer look. I added a snowflake look with the tip of a wet paint brush.
After layering my background I stamped the pine tree from Stampin Up A Lovely as a Tree in Versamark ink and then I embossed them with Stampendous Silver powder.
I am entering this card into A Blog Named Hero’s White Out Challenge for a chance to win a $25 gift card to Simon Says Stamp. There are still 2 days left to play along.
Happy Stamping,
Mo
What a stunning card! Amazing that it’s only made from white card stock! The trees embossed in silver is PERFECT. 🙂 Thanks for playing along in our ‘White-Out’ challenge over at A Blog Named Hero! xx
Thanks! You guys always come up with such interesting challenges. And this one gave me the perfect excuse to finally try out Distress Inks.
