I know you have all been waiting with baited breath (or maybe you were just barely breathing) to see the card I created for my friend Kim’s 50th birthday. So here it is….
This is another free image from the Graphics fairy. I loved the expression on this woman’s face. She just looked, to me, like she was asking a question. That’s when this sentiment popped into my mind. I stamped the background with the number 50 and some stars (from Gina K’s Candles on Your Cake) and then I added some turquoise gems because the card still looked kind of plain at that point.
I know I’m tooting my own horn here (but let’s face it only about 5 people actually read my blog posts) but, I think this is the best skin coloring I have done to date. I used Skin White from my Copic Ciao markers set and I just added more of the same color for the shading. My favorite part of the whole card though is the pearl earring I added at the last minute. It’s the little things that sometimes make me happiest.
I will give Kim her card on Saturday night when we go to Evelyn’s house for a Stampin’ Up Make and Take event.
Happy Stamping,
MO
