Here is another card I made using the snail from Birdie Brown’s Spring Bugs set. This card is for a co-worker and his girlfriend who just found out that they were having a baby boy! I love English nursery rhymes and when I think about baby boys I think of this rhyme: What are little boys made of? Snips and snails and puppy dog’s tails. That’s what little boys are made of.
I paper pieced the snail shells but, I colored his body with my Copic Ciao markers. After I finished gluing, coloring and cutting my snail I ran it through my Big Shot inside my Tiny Bubbles, Cuttlebug folder. For a final touch I covered his body in Glossy Accents for an authentic slick slug look.
Here is a closer look at glossy finish on the snails body. I used the Glossy accents to give a little more pop to my sentiment too.
Happy Stamping,
Mo
Okay … so I read this quickly and read it as, “Snips and Snails for Baby Boy CORD.” In my head, this was a card that incorporated the actual umbilical cord and turned it into a small smail. While I was horrified, I was also intrigued. Feel free to make a fortune with this disgusting idea.
I will have to ask the parents to be if I can have a bit of umbilical cord and I will fashion a fabulous card out it just for you, Dave.
This is adorable. I love the texture you added to the snail!
Thanks, Torico. I can’t wait to play around with the other images in the set as well!
