Inspired by Nature

Posted on

One of the new stamps that I ordered from Stampin’ Up this month is Awash with Flowers. I loved the simplicity of the flowers yet the versatility of this set. Anyone who has perused my blog can see that I am a big fan of Clean and Simple designs and this set is a perfect fit for that style.

My inspiration for this card is from Stampinstill.blogspot.com. I loved the the clean lines and simple beauty of Kathy’scard.  This will be one of my entries into this weeks  Inspired By, challenge at Lawnscaping’s Challenge site.

I tried to push myself to add a little more dimension and layers to this card. So instead of using a plain colored card as the backdrop I used a patterned card from DCWV. In addition I used a scallop punch and some ribbon to give the card a more feminine appeal.

The bow tie on this card looks so perfect! The bow tie on the other 5 I made…Not so much. It is really hard for to tie a bow in this tiny, slippery little ribbon. I think next time I will put a straight piece of ribbon on and then stick a pre made bow on top.

Happy Stamping,

Mo

About cardsbymo

Paper crafting is my Yoga. It takes my mind off any stress that I might have at the time. My daughter loves to get involved in my projects too and it is a great way to connect with her. Sixteen years ago I began scrapbooking but, my new true love is card making!
