Going Hog Wild Over a New Craft I’m Learning!

image A few weeks ago I found these great videos by Crochet Geek on YouTube. I knew how to make simple single crochet stitches before I started watching the videos but I was not what you would call a crocheter. First I made a Amigurumi ball while working along with a video. Then I crocheted  along with a video that detailed how to make an adorable pig.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OMbmpyuv64  If you look closely at this picture you can see it was taken at work. There are perks to be married to the boss!

I spent about 6 hours over several days to complete my pig. It took the woman who made the video about an hour! Surely I will get faster over time. (Either that or I will pay for the cute Amigurumi I see on ETSY!)

As you can see my stitches weren’t very exact because I kept losing count. But heck, I don’t think having giant balls for legs is such a bad thing for the first one I have made. I’ll just give it someone who really loves me and will feel bad about pointing out my mistakes!

About cardsbymo

Paper crafting is my Yoga. It takes my mind off any stress that I might have at the time. My daughter loves to get involved in my projects too and it is a great way to connect with her. Sixteen years ago I began scrapbooking but, my new true love is card making!
