A few weeks ago I found these great videos by Crochet Geek on YouTube. I knew how to make simple single crochet stitches before I started watching the videos but I was not what you would call a crocheter. First I made a Amigurumi ball while working along with a video. Then I crocheted along with a video that detailed how to make an adorable pig. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OMbmpyuv64 If you look closely at this picture you can see it was taken at work. There are perks to be married to the boss!
I spent about 6 hours over several days to complete my pig. It took the woman who made the video about an hour! Surely I will get faster over time. (Either that or I will pay for the cute Amigurumi I see on ETSY!)
As you can see my stitches weren’t very exact because I kept losing count. But heck, I don’t think having giant balls for legs is such a bad thing for the first one I have made. I’ll just give it someone who really loves me and will feel bad about pointing out my mistakes!
Just need to add a baby monkey
Riding backwards of course
Give the pig to Mom. She’d overlook the mistakes and loves you!
haha @ Jeff.. Whatta sight to see monkey riding backward on a pig!
